Our Story Begins in the Field

Before WorkBookPro was even an idea, James Lennon was climbing ladders as an air conditioning engineer. He knew every frustration of the trade firsthand - the early morning calls, the complex installations, the constant juggling of technical work and customer service.

As James progressed from engineer to project manager, then to service and maintenance manager, he saw the same problems at every level: spreadsheets that never synced, scheduling nightmares that cost money, and invoices scattered across filing cabinets and email folders.

That's when he partnered with James Gill to run Total Refrigeration Services. Together, they faced the daily reality of managing a trades business. James Gill, who continues to serve as director of Total Projects (Southern) Limited and Total Refrigeration Services Ltd, brought deep insights into the operational challenges that plague trades businesses.

Every day brought the same struggles: Which jobs were profitable? Where were the crews? Had that invoice been sent? Was the quote approved? They tried every software solution on the market, but nothing was built by people who truly understood the trades.

So they decided to build it themselves.

On May 13, 2024, WorkBookPro Ltd was officially incorporated. But this wasn't just another tech startup. This was decades of trades experience crystallized into a mission: create the software we wished we'd had all along.
